Be Mindful, Be Thankful

Good afternoon ya'll!

I usually try to sound more proper but let's get real! In person I would greet you that way. It is true, writing is a lot different than speaking, but how can anyone truly relate to me if I am not real?

Anyway, getting to the point of my post now. It is Thankful Thursday. Each Thursday I try to remind myself by sharing with others to be thankful. If we focus more on what we are blessed with and less on our trials and hardships...then we can learn to be happier regardless of what is going on in our lives.

For me it is thanking God for the ones I love. My husband and children and the time we get to spend together. The little things I count the most because those add up to be the big things.

"Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you will look back and realize they were the big things." Unknown

I want to focus my gratefulness on each minute! I do not want to let it waste away. For each minute happens and then it's gone forever. So I am thankful for each one, the good and the bad. Even the hard minutes are important to be thankful for. Those are the ones we learn from. The ones that make us stronger and wiser.

"The only way to live is to accept each minute as a unrepeatable miracle; which is exactly what it is a miracle and unrepeatable." Storm Jameson

Life as an adult started off hard for me. I had no idea what I was doing. I just knew I had to find myself. Who I was without family influences. Not that home life was bad. It was far from it. We all have to form our own opinions, thoughts and morals. I had to make multiple mistakes to figure it out. I do not regret one bit of it. I have grown tremendously since that first minute I decided to leave the nest.

"Live each day as you would climb a mountain...Climb slowly, steadily; Enjoy each passing moment...and the view from the summit will serve as a fitting climax for the journey." Harold V. Melchert

Lastly, this Thursday I am thankful for life. For if there were none I could not enjoy each of my children in every minute of every day. The giggles, excitement in their eyes, the "I love you's" is a blessing and I am going to soak it up...minute by minute.

"Life is like a grows more beautiful the more you care for it." K.C. Rogers

What are you thankful for today?

Natural Health: Oxylent Supplements

I am always trying to find the best vitamins for my kids. It is important to me to give them something that will help their growing bodies and immune system. Most vitamins sold at stores like Wal-Mart are full of synthetic ingredients. One has to really pay attention to the ingredients list, even if it does say Natural. I have an eight month old, and although he doesn't need vitamins because I breastfeed, I need them very much!

Breastfeeding takes a lot from a Mother. She needs all the nutrients and vitamins that she can get. If she doesn't then it all goes to baby, leaving her with nothing. Let's face it, Mom needs to take care of herself too! I have recently discovered a natural vitamin supplement for the whole family. This is not your everyday vitamin. It is a vitamin powder that you add to your water. Shake and drink!
A company called Vitalah and founder Lisa Lent created an amazing health and nutritional supplement. I was sent to review a few from their Oxylent line. I…

We are in the middle of July and it is very hot here in Georgia. The older I have become the less I admire the fun summertime. It isn't so much fun anymore. No longer can I stay cool by running around in my cute childish swimsuit. It is okay though, I am very blessed to have air conditioning so I will try not to complain too much. I hope your summer vacation has been a fun and comfortable one. As for me, I am patiently waiting for Fall.

Critical Thinking Co.: Workbooks That Make you Think

What a busy summer! I have tried to keep up with so much. There is hardly anytime to write lately. We are not a big summer family. We love the Fall and Winter weather. That is the time you will see us having the most fun. I guess that is a little odd.
I have had a busy schedule, let me tell you! I am home quite a bit, but there is homeschool, cleaning, baby, laundry, baby, networking, blogging, baby, groups and did I say baby? :O
Anyway, I think you get my point.
Today I am writing up another review. This one is homeschool related. These ones are so great. I love finding new resources that challenge my children's minds. What Mom wouldn't? As you know already, we are unschoolers and love the freedom to choose many things when it comes to learning.
So shall I begin? I was sent these amazing workbooks by Critical Thinking Co. I am so excited to have this opportunity to share them with you. It is hard to keep my kids interested with school work. Let's start with my Pre-K/Kinderga…
