DIY Paint for Kids

**This post contains affiliate links. This is at no cost to you. Thank you.**

I stumbled upon a really cool homemade paint recipe.....

You see, my kids love to paint so much that it was starting to get expensive. Acrylics, watercolors, the list goes on. Young kids don't usually care about they type of paint. They just want to have fun and be creative!

So like I said I stumbled upon this great, simple and cheap paint recipe. With ingredients you most likely have in your kitchen. Can't get any better than that ;)

Check below for this simple recipe....

Here is what you need:

1 Cup Salt
1 Cup Flour
1 Cup Water
Food coloring
Jars are squeeze bottles.

That is it! You mix those well together and you have paint! I made four batches so the kids could have four colors! Fun to make and fun for the kids to use :)

Once you have all the colors prepared just pour into jars or squeeze bottles. Really, you can use just about anything to store it in.

Here are a few of my kiddos works of art! <3

Hope you had fun with us! We sure did. Once it drys you will feel the crystals of the salt and they appear to sparkle. The kids thought that was really cool!
